Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

BLOC Fitness (“we”, “our”, “the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Authentication data: Apple ID user identifier and email address (if provided) through Sign in with Apple.
  • Profile data: Birthday, height, weight, training goals, available equipment, and exercise preferences that you provide.
  • Workout data: Workout history, completion status, RPE (rate of perceived exertion) ratings, symptom feedback, duration, and optional notes.
  • Conversation data: Messages exchanged with the AI assistant during plan creation and workout adjustments.
  • App usage data: Last opened date, active plan, and notification preferences.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Generate personalized AI-powered workout plans tailored to your goals, equipment, and fitness level.
  • Adapt future workout plans based on your training history and feedback.
  • Provide the core App experience including workout execution, logging, and progress tracking.
  • Send you training reminders via local notifications (with your permission).
  • Improve the quality and relevance of AI-generated content.

4. Data Storage

Your fitness data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. The App follows an offline-first design — your workouts, logs, goals, and profile data remain on your device and are accessible without an internet connection.

When generating workout plans or using the chat feature, relevant profile and workout context is sent to our backend service for AI processing. This data is used solely for generating your response and is not permanently stored on external servers.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • AI Generation Service: Your fitness profile and training context are sent to our backend proxy for workout plan generation. Data is processed in real-time and not retained.
  • Apple: Authentication (Sign in with Apple), in-app purchases, and crash reporting through standard Apple frameworks.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks.

6. Health and Fitness Data

We collect fitness-related data that you provide (goals, experience level, equipment preferences, physical sensitivities) and data you generate through App use (workout logs, RPE ratings, completion status, symptom reports).

This data is used solely for providing and improving your workout experience. We treat all health and fitness data with the highest level of care and do not share it with third parties.

7. Data Retention

Your data is stored locally on your device for as long as you maintain your account. We do not maintain server-side copies of your personal fitness data.

If you delete your account through the Settings screen, all locally stored data is permanently removed from your device. This action cannot be undone. Uninstalling the App also removes all local data.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data: View all your fitness data within the App at any time.
  • Export your data: Use the Export Data feature in Settings to download a copy of your data in JSON format.
  • Delete your data: Delete your account and all associated data through the Settings screen.
  • Control notifications: Enable or disable training reminders through your Profile settings.
  • Contact us: Reach out with any questions or requests regarding your data.

9. Children’s Privacy

BLOC Fitness is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under the applicable age, we will take steps to delete that information.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

  • Using Apple’s Sign in with Apple for secure, privacy-preserving authentication.
  • Storing data locally on your device rather than on remote servers.
  • Using encrypted HTTPS connections for all network communication.
  • Processing AI generation requests through a secure backend proxy that does not retain personal data.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date of the most recent revision will be indicated at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
